From an early age Charlie has been interested in music and started piano at 8. In year 6 when everyone was introduced to what was available in high school, a girl performed Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter on flute and Charlie instantly fell in love. That night Charlie nagged her mum to buy her a flute but at the time, her mum had just gone into debt to buy her an upright piano, so Charlie decided she’d raise the money herself. She took the pumpkin seeds from her dinner, planted them and sold them at the local garage along with pots of herbs grown from seeds she collected from her Mum's garden. It took nearly 5 months to raise enough money to buy an old second hand flute which she later busked on to buy herself a Jupiter student flute.

Charlie's career highlights include, principal flute with the International Honours Ensemble at the Sydney Opera House, a soloist at the Bangalow Music Festival, 2nd flute with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra as part of their prodigy project, was first flute with the Queensland Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Concertmaster with the National Youth Wind Ensemble of Scotland at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Charlie is currently studying a Bachelor of music in Performance at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. In the future Charlie aims to further her studies in Europe and hopes to perform all around the world in a professional capacity.
